I cook BBQ, I owned, operated, booked and promoted a popular music venue (The Branch Restaurant in Kemptville) for a decade, I've lived and worked in Texas, California, briefly in France and Italy and now, not so briefly, in Ontario, I've traveled all over... I'm a Dad, a Husband, a trained chef... I drove a truck that ran on vegetable oil across the U.S.... I've published a cookbook and written a memoir... I've cooked for movie stars, rock stars, the families of presidents and I've shaken hands with Dr. Dre... I've been featured on You Gotta Eat Here and I've survived sobriety and not so sobriety and business ownership and a housefire and two divorces and one not so divorced and a child's disability, and a life in music, and a life in food. I have stories, and, well, I write songs. The Burning Sensations are the band that makes them sound good.

Doc, there’s a Burning Sensation in my Wakefield!

Bruce and the gang are headed for the Kaffe 1870 in the great northern reaches of Wakefield QC on Saturday, November 28 (8pm, $8)… This is our first gig in this neighbourhood, so I thought it might be a good idea to include some important medical information. Don’t worry, Wakefield, Burning Sensations are a natural side effect of super fun times; however, in some cases, symptoms may persist for more than the evening of the show; if you are experiencing these lingering symptoms, you can try sonically applying one of our cds to the troubled area, or you may also try coming to Kemptville for one of our regular Wednesday appearances… Apparently, in extreme cases, return visits to the venue where the Burning Sensations were first experienced can also be an effective salve; please consult your local music venue owner for more information on how to arrange for this treatment. If no super fun is experienced at your show, please consult a physician immediately. Or a bartender.

Post Traumatic Chef Disorder

Less cooking these days… Considering it’s most of what I’ve done… well… ever… I guess it’s going to be a bit strange… As a result of these changes, I have decided to bring all of my various other pursuits together behind one virtual door; the brand spanking new bruceenloe.com; and yes there will be some talk about my new work with local foods… and, well… some other things…

Music has always been a big part of who I am; I’ve never not written songs. I’m proud of it, I’m especially proud of the band (the Burning Sensations) that has pushed me to bring those songs to the world and the records they have helped me produce.  Check them out–listen to it, share it… buy it if you like… it’s for sale.  I expect that much of what will flow through this site will be bringing information and news about that ongoing work to the world.

And, in other Words, there’s a book in here.  No, literally.  Literally literature.  Feel free to read it– look for ‘Words’ under the menu above.  Pay for it if you like; whatever you feel… I’m just happy to have it off my hard drive and out in the world…
